pet-peeve wednesday

I know all of you might be a little disappointed since I didn't post a pet-peeve that Wednesday. But I am here to say that I'M BACK and ready to post another pet peeve of mine.

My pet-peeve today is smacking. No, not the smacking you might to do your husband if he said something you don't like. Oh, maybe that's what I do, I mean, I can't speak for all you ladies. I'm talking about the smacking in which a person does when they chew gum or eat food. Growing up, my brother, whom is older, had the worst smacking problem E.V.E.R! He still hasn't grown out of it. Sad, I know. He used to smack ON PURPOSE to annoy me. And HE IS THE REASON why I hate smacking. My mother, gosh I love her, but she also has a smacking problem. She is REALLY bad with gum. You definitely know that my brother is an offspring of her, ha ha.

There is just something about the sound of lips smacking together that just killllllllls me. I apologize to those of you who smack. God be with you.

So next time you are eating or chewing gum, listen closely to see if you smack, because if you do....DON'T COME NEAR ME :)

i keep squinting and i can't hear!

It was time. Time for a new TV in our bedroom. Brandon and I were having a VERY hard time seeing and hearing our old TV. It was a 19inch BIG mama TV and it was driving me nuts. The volume had to be on like 50 to even hear a TV show. My parents actually have the exact same TV in their guest room ( the 19inch) and their volume only has to be on like 7 to hear it perfectly. Our bed was a good distance away from the TV so it made it hard to see too, which is why we were squinting so much.

We had been talking about getting a new one, every time we would go shopping we ALWAYS looked at nice TV's. So, we finally pulled the trigger and said LETS DO IT! annnnnnnnd, we did. The picture above is our lovely new TV. It's a samsung and we got a GREAT deal on it! Brandon and I are total TV people. I'll admit it, I love TV. I really don't care if thats bad too. I'm sure my kids will love TV as well.

Disclaimer: Brandon and I bought this TV with some of my tax return money. Please don't think we are spending money that we don't have. But Brandon and I also feel that, although things might be "tight" in our life right now finacially, we feel that sometimes we need to treat ourselves. Rememeber now, we got a GREAT deal on it toooo!

home, home on the range.

Sidenote: Blogger is being VERY mean right now and not letting me type on top of the first picture? So, this will have to suffice.

The husband and I went to the driving range the other day. I wanted to bring my nice camera to play around with when I wasn't hitting some balls, well as you can see, I did more picture taking than anything. I attempted to hit a few balls and I sure as heck was not successful. It has been forever since we have been to the range, even Brandon was struggling. Of course he got better. He is so darn cute and sexy when he plays golf. He is sooooo freakn good. He played in high school and sure could of played in college. By the way, the reason why I was doing so bad was because I didn't have my pink clubs, of course. Brandon wouldn't let me use his nice driver I bought him 2 christmas' ago so I had to use his 5 wood. 5 wood schmiwood. Psssh! We didn't get a long well.

I found this new photo editor online that is free and I AM LOVING IT! There is just something about a good edited photo that makes me happy! Is that weird? Probably. The lighting was really nice when we got there and quickly after, the sun went down and as you can imagine, the picture started turning out bad. I have learned that I HATE using the flash on ANY camera. Natural light is WAYYYYYYYY better than anything, ever. I highly recommend NOT using your flash ANYTIME there is natural light.

my trip to the AZ

I'd like to think that my name is very unique, if you will. Well, at least I think it is. I have only heard my name 2 other times. Now, I know OTHER people in the world have my name, but it's not EVERYDAY that I hear it, ya know?

1. MTV's Real World Show...one of the girls on there was named Kelly Anne
2. When I was in middle school I was watching a show and one of the characters name was Kellianne ( I'm sure it wasn't spelled that way).

There is a point to this story, by the way.

While on my lovely get away weekend to Arizona, I went to see the movie "He's just not that into you". I went with Cheri and Ashley, pretty good movie. Anyway.....in the begining of the movie- well maybe not the BEGINING .... errr... you get what I mean. One of the guys in the movie, I guess had a thing for this girl. And in this certain scene he said her name ....and guess what? Her name was KELLIANNE. Did I mention she had blonde hair too? And if you're wondering, I'm sure she spelled her name like mine..........hahaha, probably not.

So IMMEDIATELY I looked over to Ashley ( my mouth was hanging to the floor) and I was like OMG that's my name! I kinda freaked out - ummmm to be expected right? I definitely don't have the run of the mill name like Jessica, Ashley, Melissa, etc. ( Please do not take offense if I have said your name in this post, I am by no means saying your name is ugly or bad). I just don't have a common name.

Needless to say, my name has made it to the BIG SCREEN and I will be listening from here on out on when it will appear next.

By the way..... the person who picked the character names is a G.E.N.I.U.S!

honestly

My "Anne" clan member and friend Roxanne tagged me to write 10 honest/facts about me.... so here goes!

1. I have an obsession with chips and salsa. I could eat it everyday for the rest of my life.

2. I LOVE LOVE cold weather but I look forward to the summers so I can get a tan.

3. I can't wait to have our first baby - not till I'm 26 people, or at least that is the plan.

4. We kind of already have baby names picked out.... is that bad? well maybe I have the names picked out, I don't think Brandon could care less :)

5. When I am in my car, I ALWAYS have to be on the phone with someone, it makes the drive time MUCH faster.

6. I LOVE reality TV and you won't catch me watching anything but reality TV.

7. I miss playing softball, especially the high school days.....we were so darn good!

8. I hope when I have kids, at least one will have blonde hair and blue eyes and well, can throw a baseball/softball pretty darn hard.

9. I love to sleep and I am a woman WHO NEEDS my sleep.

10. Sometimes I regret leaving ACU.

I will be headed to Arizona this Thursday with one of my best friends, Ashley. We will be visiting one of our best friends Cheri, who is going to Med School in AZ. We leave Thursday night and come back late afternoon Monday.

I am sooooooo excited for this trip. You have NO IDEA how much I need a mini vacation in my life right now. But it's kinda a bittersweet feeling though. I won't be there for Valentine's Day with Brandon. I feel bad because its our first V-day together since we've been married and I won't be here to share it with him. This really was the only weekend I could go before WORK got SUPER BUSY. We have off Monday for Presidents day so it worked out nicely. I will be making it up to him. :)

Thursday we are getting into AZ around 9ish. That next morning we will be waking up VERY early to head off and do a little something that looks like this......

Ok, blogger is being STUPID, like always and won't let me download the picture of a girl snowboarding. So picture me in my snowboarding outfit snowboarding down the slopes of Flagstaff Arizona. Can I just express to you HOW EXCITED I AM for this day?

If you don't know me, then you don't know my LOVE for snowboarding. I might NOT be the best ever, but I can hold my own on the slopes. I was sad I wasn't going to go this year until this trip came up and I MADE SURE we were going to go! We will be going all day Friday from 9-4 and then heading back that night. I would love to snowboard another day but its cheaper for 1 day and plus we want to explore other things while visiting Cheri.

Anyway, I'm SO excited for this trip and can't wait to have a change of pace and scenary.

wish list

Have you ever just wanted to buy something that you have been wanting for a while? Do you have a wish list? Well, I do. There are just some things that I really want, but not necassarily need. I have buyers remorse or buyers guilt, if you will. Unless I REALLY need it, I don't buy it. Ok, that was a lie. Sometimes I buy things I don't need at the time, but I do use them. For example, clothes......I might not need a blouse, but I buy it because it was a GREAT deal.... don't you always feel better once you get a GREAT deal on something? Sure you do! Isn't it fun to brag to someone about the GREAT deal you just got on that item you purchased? Of course it is! I digress...

Well, my friends.... I bring you my "wish" list. These are items that I would love to have at the moment. Don't ask me why? Well, actually, I'll explain why.

Exhitbit A : Mac Ibook. Um....who the heck wouldn't want this? I have been wanting one of these for as long as I can remember! When my dell laptop broke ( courtesy of my older brother ) I really wanted to get this mac. Brandon thought otherwise. He said he was NOT going to spend that much $$$ on a laptop. So, he didn't. He got me a Toshiba instead. Yeah, it's great but I really want this beautiful device. Exhibit B: The basic black purse. Can you believe I don't own a black purse? Seriously. This might not be the one I want but this is the only decent one I could find in the short amount of time I had on the internet to look for one. It is cute, though. It's only like $40 too. Not bad? I found this really cute black purse at Steinmart last night with my mom. It's a Steve Madden and it was originally $80 on sale for $50. I know, I should have gotten it. But it all comes back to....do I really need it?

Exhibit C: Looks like a purse huh? Well, it's not. Tricky, I know. It's a camera bag for my AMAZING camera. It's from Jill E. camera bags. They are very trendy, cute and durable......but pricey. It's originally 139.00 but I found it for $100.00 on amazon.com. I can fit my SLR camera as well as my point and shoot camera in here. Such a cute bag!!!



Exhibit D: I have a pair of UGGS that I got my Sophomore year of college. They are quite old and getting a little worn. Although, I do love my pair! But, I really want a new pair which is seen below. I have the short pair and I really want the tall ones. Don't ask me why? The only thing I can come up with is that they are cute? :) I wear my UGGS quite often, around the house, to my walk dog, etc. ( of course, if its cold).

Something else that I really need that I couldn't picture this in post is....A WHOLE.NEW.WARDROBE. It's starting to get pathetic. I really need some "big girl, real world" clothes.

But as you know, with wanting all these things comes with a price. A price that I certainly can't afford at the moment.

But, until then, I will continue to wish. :)

pet-peeve wednesday

Yay! Today is the day I get to share with you another one of my pet-peeves. I know all of you have been dying for me to post another pet-peeve ( haha, yeah, right). Let the games begin!

This pet-peeve of mine has been happening to me my WHOLE life. And the sad thing is, it will be happening for the rest of my life, probably till I die.

Read below, can you guess what it is?

Hi, my name is Kellianne. Not Kelli. Not Ann. But Kellianne. It's one word, not two. It's not hypanated, there is no space in between the kelli and the ann.

Anytime I introduce myself to anyone I always say " hi, I'm Kellianne." And their response is " Oh it's nice to meet you Kelli". Wait a second, did I just introduce myself as Kelli? Yeah, I didn't think so! My name is Kellianne - with an I not a Y, 2 L's and ,2 N's with an E on the end.

If my mom wanted me to be named Kelli, she would of named me Kelli. But when I introduce myself as Kellianne, I'm telling you my WHOLE NAME! Some people think that I am telling them my first and middle name. Nope, I'm not. For the record, my middle name is Marie. One time, when I was at a wedding in Minnesota I met some girls and I introduced myself and they said "awwww....isn't that cute... you're telling us your first and middle name" and they then proceeded to say this..." my name is Michelle Jillian and my name is Christy Grace". I definitely laughed a little bit when they said that and realized, ok you girls are DUMB.

I know a lot of people with Ann on the end of their names. For example, Roxanne (who has been a friend of mine since middle school) introduces herself as Roxanne, now do they respond to you with " oh its nice to meet you Rox?" ( help me out here roxanne, haha). I highly doubt they do.

I have ALWAYS dealt with this and I will continue to deal with it. But next time you are around me and someone says "Hey Kelli!" Please correct them. :)

As you can see, err- I mean read, my pet-peeve is when people call me Kelli and not Kellianne.

the devil got a hold of me......

I would be lying to you all if I didn't tell you that I drank a diet dr. pepper today. Not 1, but 2. Oh my. What have I done to myself? I can tell you this..... I am paying for it right now.....oh the pain!
Really...the devil made me do it. It wasn't me....he peer pressured me. Don't you hate peer pressure? Well....only when it turns out bad, like right now.

Hold on while I go make best friends with my tums. Ok, I'm back. Tums.....definitely an interesting texture. Chalky to say the least. They really need to make something a little better, seriously.

Why do I feel compelled to share the most weird story of my life with you? Oh, maybe because it's my blog and I can do and say what I want right? ( oh how i love being in control, just ask Brandon).

I know I have said this before, but really, I am done with sodas. I'm not gonna lie, that makes me sad. Water is just so......boring. I do like water but day in and day out drinking nothing but water? Yeah, agree with me here....B.O.R.I.N.G.

Sidenote: I will not hold it against you if you have completely stopped reading this post. Really, who cares about my soda issue? To be honest, you probably haven't even made it this
far, haha. Ok, I feel compelled to tell you this too.....my dog Rocky keeps farting and it is the most foul smell ever. I still love him though.

Now, I will say this..... I am looking forward to pet-peeve wednesday! I will clue you in to what I will be posting on Wednesday. It is something I have dealt with my whole life and probably always will!
