Anyone out there? Holy moly, it's been a long time since I posted on this good ole' blog of mine. My life is beyond busy and to keep up with one more thing might put me over the edge of insane. I can barely brush my teeth on a daily basis let alone write a blog post? pssssh. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
My photography biz has really taken off over the last several months. I've been swamped with shoots and editing amongst working a full time job, full time mom and wife. Life is hard right now. No joke. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm hoping that I can get back to the blogging world in the future. Not sure when that will be, but hopefully soon. I've truly enjoyed blogging with Bristol and her little life. I love looking back at the pictures and stories I have posted on here. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Until then....</div>

Bristol is almost 14 months old. I can't believe it. Some people say she is a toddler, well I have some news for you ... SHE IS NOT and WILL NOT BE a toddler in my eyes, never never never. She will always be MY BABY. It's been so fun to watch her grow and discover things the past couple months. She has really blossomed, especially after she turned 1. It was light a switch flipped on and BAM! ... she starts achieving all these milestones and fun things. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
She is VERY busy. Doesn't really play with her toys for more than 5
minutes because she wants to be crawling around and pulling up on any
and everything. She is still not walking but by now, I have realized she
will accomplish what she wants on HER TIME, not momma's time. Bristol
is also quite the chatty kathy, more specifically when she is around
people she really knows. You won't really catch her talking to anyone
randomly. I can't get her to say any words to people in public, strange
huh? :) </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol is constantly on the go. She loves going to the dog water bowl and dumping it over, crawling to the TV cabinet and opening the doors. She also likes to crawl into the kitchen and pull off the towels on the stove handle annnnnd she likes to snatch my sunglasses and put them on herself. There are so many other things she loves doing which I will save for another post. :) My sweet girl is my pride and joy and I love getting to watch her accomplish so many milestones and be so proud of herself every step of the way. Yes, I am proud of her but she gets so proud of herself when she does a new trick, it's precious! </div>

Hi Friends! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
It's been quite some time since I last posted, but let's cut to the chase. The holidays are approaching, can you believe it? I can't. I'm still trying to wrap my finger around the fact that my not so newborn baby is 1 years old! It's that time of year where people are starting to take pictures for their holiday cards. Last year, I was blessed to get my christmas cards for FREE. Oh! and FREE shipping from Tiny Prints. Tiny Prints offered FREE holiday cards last year to those who blogged about their company. I jumped at the chance for FREE cards with FREE shipping! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I was BEYOND impressed with the quality of last years cards that without a doubt I knew I was going to use Tiny Prints again this year for my <a href="http://bit.ly/R7ULIE" rel="nofollow">Christmas Cards</a> YOU definitely need to go to their website and check out their new style of cards, YOU WILL LOVE THEM! Also - I want to add a tidbit of how GREAT their customer service department is. Last year, I had created my card and one of the pictures I submitted was a little blurry. I received a call from one of the designers that one of my pictures was blurry and if I wanted to change the picture I could. UMMMM.. HOW NICE WAS THAT? I was actually surprised that they took the time to notice the blurry picture AND call me. They are super nice and have great attention to detail! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4M0Rf3WQffw/UHNPtPnHG2I/AAAAAAAACJQ/mDbMCxMg6T8/s1600/20120918140905-1.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4M0Rf3WQffw/UHNPtPnHG2I/AAAAAAAACJQ/mDbMCxMg6T8/s320/20120918140905-1.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I haven't officially picked out my card yet but I am a sucker for red. :) </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-F3UTRWthzw8/UHNPt3MH5TI/AAAAAAAACJY/i8pMB_eFXUo/s1600/20120918140905-2.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-F3UTRWthzw8/UHNPt3MH5TI/AAAAAAAACJY/i8pMB_eFXUo/s320/20120918140905-2.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
I am also a sucker for chevron print lately. I LOVE LOVE LOVE IT. In fact, I am in the process of getting my photography website up and running and chevron print makes it debut on my site! <br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ws562DPPHbI/UHNPuZGcmcI/AAAAAAAACJg/uxb_VKNmUn4/s1600/20120918140905.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="320" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Ws562DPPHbI/UHNPuZGcmcI/AAAAAAAACJg/uxb_VKNmUn4/s320/20120918140905.jpg" width="320" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
How is my baby ONE already? Time sure does fly and that has been a phrase that I have said many times over the last year. I can't believe I had a baby a year ago. She is the biggest blessing, greatest joy and the brightest light in my life. Over the past year I have learned so much about being a mom and I am continuing to learn about being a momma and learning about Bristol everyday. We had so much fun together over the last year. There are many moments that I can remember that stick out in my mind. I remember when we gave her her first bath and during the bath she pooped everywhere, all over the side of the tub, I just laughed and laughed. OR the time that she cried and cried for hours on end in the middle of the night. I tried everything to calm her and nothing worked. At about 3am I took her to get a bath and that calmed her. I thought I was super mom. I remember the time that I gave her oatmeal for the first time, she did great. And the times when we went to physical therapy every friday, she did great there too. I anticipated Bristol getting teeth for almost her whole first year of life and then just over the last couple weeks 2 have popped through. There are so many sweet memories that I have stored in my brain that I will never let go of. I can't wait to make more memories with my sweet girl over the next 12 months.</div>

The cake table turned our great! We had the big cake, smash cake and 3 pictures on display. One picture was of Bristol, the next picture was of myself at my first birthday and the last picture was of Brandon at the age of 1. The cake was fantastic too. I HIGHLY recommend the company I used to make her cakes. She was BEYOND reasonably priced and it was very YUMMY!</div>

Big girl sitting on the pool table with all her gifts. I am so glad we thought about putting her on the table with all her gifts. Don't worry, there were at least 6 other adults there ready to catch her if anything happened. My aunt bought Bristol that minnie doll, it was a birthday minnie. She is holding a balloon and it sings happy birthday. Bristol loved it!</div>

Bristol was interested in every.single.present. She would smile every time I opened a new gift and showed her what is was. Precious girl got a lot of clothes ( yay for clothes! I LOVE clothes, especially for Bristol) and lot of "minnie" stuff.</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
She dove right into the cake except she wouldn't put the icing in her mouth. She kept sticking her hand in the icing and would act like she was going to eat it and then would pull her hand away. I got the biggest laugh at her. FINALLY, she decided " what the heck! let me see how this tastes!" Once she got a good taste, girlfriend kept going back for more. I had to pull the cake away, I didn't want her to get sick. She hasn't really had any sweets until the week before her birthday for her birthday pics. But she loved it all!</div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Can it get any sweet than this? Of course she wouldn't smile for us, but that's ok. Afterall, she is her mother's daughter. I wouldn't smile for ANYTHING. She smiled for all the inside pics just not outside pics. I guess I don't blame her, it was HOT HOT HOT and humid outside that day.</div>

I love this collage, it highlights some of the decorations from the party. I seriously could have looked at all the decorations all day long. I think I told my mom that 56 times that day. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol's party went GREAT! Better than I expected to be honest. I loved every single thing about it. I worked so hard on her decorations and putting it all together. It was worth every late night, shopping trip and internet surfing to find the "perfect" idea/decoration, etc. She was so happy during the whole party. She had no nap and was not feeling well due to cutting more teeth. We had a great turn out and are so thankful to everyone that came and spoiled our sweet girl. She was showered with gifts but more importantly love. She is so blessed to have such awesome friends and family that love and care about her, more than she will ever know. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
I am so thankful for this past year I got to share with my Boo Boo. I love her so much and can't imagine my life without her!</div>

Over the last year I have had my ups and downs, smiles and frowns and laughter and tears. Over last year, it has been a whirlwind of new life experiences - failures to triumphs and "let's try this again". Over the last year I have gotten to do a lot of things that "working" moms would love to do with their baby. Over the last year I have had to watch my spending and become "frugal". Over the last year I have had to completely give myself to a little baby in order to put her first. Over the last year I have had to learn how to juggle being a first time mom, wife, daughter, sister and lover of God. Over the last I have had to put me second and Bristol first. Over the last year I have had to learn how to take a 5 minute shower, apply my makeup in 1 minute and throw my hair up in a bun. Over the last year I have made many first time mommy mistakes. Over the last year I have realized that motherhood is a tough job, it's not for the birds. Over the last year I have realized that it is so easy to get wrapped up in to comparing your child to another child. Over the last year I have realized that finishing my degree is probably one of my biggest and most proud moments of my 28 years of life. Over the last year, that it takes a village to raise a child. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Over the last year I have opened my eyes to so many things that I never knew before. I just named a few, but trust me, there are so many more things that I have learned over the last year being a stay at home mom. I am forever grateful that I got to spend the last year at home with my sweet baby. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
A new chapter begins August 13th. I start my new job. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eO2Nkr8uOqY/UByVvhXq-XI/AAAAAAAACE8/a6rvA3My1WI/s1600/IMG_0869.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-eO2Nkr8uOqY/UByVvhXq-XI/AAAAAAAACE8/a6rvA3My1WI/s640/IMG_0869.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Life is booming at the Barron household. We've been busy busy busy. We are trying to spend as much time together as a family of 3 before we both go back to work and Bristol starts school. We took a trip up to the hill country a couple weekends ago because my parents are looking for property to buy and build a house on in Canyon Lake. We had a great time with my parents, as usual. They spoil us beyond words and we are so blessed to have them in our life. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
The picture above is a little pallet I made for Bristol to play on at the hotel. She is definitely a mover and shaker now a days. She loves to crawl around everywhere. Just the other day, she crawled to the dog water bowl and poured it all out. I couldn't help but laugh. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Z2MFtFZBPsA/UByV2GiSGcI/AAAAAAAACFE/GbI-FH8r_yo/s1600/IMG_0872.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Z2MFtFZBPsA/UByV2GiSGcI/AAAAAAAACFE/GbI-FH8r_yo/s640/IMG_0872.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol sure is Grandaddy's girl. She loves him and her face lights up everytime she sees him, it's precious. This was our first stop on the "property search". Of course I had to take a picture of 2 of my favorite people. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ePOulgEjNTM/UByV95UDtCI/AAAAAAAACFM/N6NssakFTaE/s1600/IMG_0952.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-ePOulgEjNTM/UByV95UDtCI/AAAAAAAACFM/N6NssakFTaE/s640/IMG_0952.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
We rented a boat on Sunday to cruise around Canyon Lake. This was Bristol's first boat right. She refused to wear the life jacket, but don't worry, we had 2, yes 2 jackets for her if anything happened. She wasn't so sure about the boat at first, she was very fussy and cranky but she warmed up to it about 30 minutes into the ride. Bristol sure does love her "da-da" and "da-da" sure does love her. He calls her pee-wee, peanut and many other names that are too cute. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wp_kdveHGpY/UByWENbeXTI/AAAAAAAACFY/agFNphdADGY/s1600/IMG_0976.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-wp_kdveHGpY/UByWENbeXTI/AAAAAAAACFY/agFNphdADGY/s640/IMG_0976.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I have realized over the last almost year, I don't have many pictures with Bristol. I have been in a rut with my apprearance and I haven't been wanting to be in photos, which is unlike me. But I have realized that being in a picture with my boo-boo is so much more important to me than "looking perfect" in a picture. Sounds to petty, I know. But I am facing some silly demons right now about myself and slowly but surely, I will get there. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bGLDCAww70M/UByWOf8MV1I/AAAAAAAACFg/DM3RXCJsoN4/s1600/IMG_0992.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-bGLDCAww70M/UByWOf8MV1I/AAAAAAAACFg/DM3RXCJsoN4/s640/IMG_0992.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Snack time! Bristol loves strawberries, well, she pretty much loves any food. I mean, look at her belly in this picture. You think she has missed a meal? I think not. :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vi76lwAJXXQ/UByWWaMD3qI/AAAAAAAACFo/SOkfblxbRy4/s1600/IMG_1001.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-vi76lwAJXXQ/UByWWaMD3qI/AAAAAAAACFo/SOkfblxbRy4/s640/IMG_1001.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Hello cheeks! Oh and double chin! i love it. LOVVVVE IT! Precious girl has grown so much over the last several months, makes me happy. She struggled to gain weight for the first 2 months of her life. In fact, she didn't gain any weight the first 2 months, well maybe 1/2 pound. So to see her thrive makes me so happy. I am still a "control freak" when it comes to what she eats and drinks but I am happy I am this way. She loves every thing healthy. She doesn't turn away much, the only foods she has turned away have been watermelon, cantelope and avocado. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HNxmvAF6F_A/UByWepqdOhI/AAAAAAAACFw/wfADpX2aDQs/s1600/IMG_1011.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-HNxmvAF6F_A/UByWepqdOhI/AAAAAAAACFw/wfADpX2aDQs/s640/IMG_1011.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Remember how I said she was fussy and cranky at the start of the boat ride? Well, that was partially due to her being extremely tired. Believe it or not, she fell asleep on me while on our cruise around the lake. I was shocked actually. She isn't the type of baby that just falls asleep anywhere, which can be frustrating to be honest. But she was so tired that she conked out on me and then I layed her down on the bench in the boat and she slept a little while longer. I went for a swim while she slept. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mDfCYcCwQ7c/UByWlh4SuZI/AAAAAAAACF8/W9gzu_EEc7U/s1600/IMG_1073.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-mDfCYcCwQ7c/UByWlh4SuZI/AAAAAAAACF8/W9gzu_EEc7U/s640/IMG_1073.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
This sweet face just got a bunch of "prizes" from her Grandaddy. He went to Orlando and the hotel had a disney store. Can you guess what he got her? Of course she got another minnie and a fun placemat and plate. Spoiled? You bet. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_kTK_BTN_WM/UByWuvhZh9I/AAAAAAAACGE/0Y1WF5MdlGM/s1600/IMG_1084.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-_kTK_BTN_WM/UByWuvhZh9I/AAAAAAAACGE/0Y1WF5MdlGM/s640/IMG_1084.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol has definitely taken her time to hit milestones such as sitting up by herself, rolling over, crawling and bearing weight on her legs to stand up. I work with her everyday and she is improving drastically. I would be lying if I said I wasn't a little worried about her attitude about putting weight on her legs. She didn't want to do it at all, not one bit. I have slowly introduced new ways for her to stand up and it's been helping, a lot. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QXsvRm4f7Fk/UByW1wutTcI/AAAAAAAACGM/KwRl2_oAThY/s1600/IMG_1095.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QXsvRm4f7Fk/UByW1wutTcI/AAAAAAAACGM/KwRl2_oAThY/s640/IMG_1095.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Getting ready for her birthday party with her minnie mouse ears. She knows exactly who minnie is and it's so cute to see her reaction when she sees something minnie. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WSjcfUhC2V4/UByW9IoqSSI/AAAAAAAACGU/aW3_xZMkfsU/s1600/IMG_1098.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-WSjcfUhC2V4/UByW9IoqSSI/AAAAAAAACGU/aW3_xZMkfsU/s640/IMG_1098.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol wanted to help me get the favors ready for her party. I hunted high and low for the favors we got for the boys and girls who come to her party. Her party is a minnie theme, but we weren't going to give the boys minnie stuff, so we got a few mickey things too :)</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
She loves to get into stuff, especially when she knows she is not supposed to. She loves pulling stuff out of bags, She hasn't quite grasped putting the stuff back in the bag but nonetheless, she loves bags and things in bags. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">

Yep, she is trying to put a plastic bag on her head. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
She is a mess, a sweet precious mess. She is so nosy, busy and always wanting to get into something. I definitely let her explore and figure things out but there are boundaries. I love seeing her grow and change everyday. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I can't believe she will be 1 in less than 2 weeks. My sweet girl will always be my baby no matter her age. I am thankful for her and thankful I am her momma. I can't wait for her party on the 18th to celebrate the life of my Bristol Elaine. </div>Kelliannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03983809215149182810noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4038601008557966784.post-29565684160029564132012-07-25T20:09:00.002-07:002012-07-25T20:09:54.387-07:00Dear August ...<div style="text-align: center;">
I am totally and completely not ready for you to be here. You have snuck up on my little family and I don't like it one bit, you hear me? Do you realize what August means? It means my baby turns 1, summer is over, daddy goes back to work, momma goes back to work and I have to take my beautiful sweet baby girl to "school". </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am so not ready for this. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm not ready for change. I'm not ready to set my alarm clock. I'm not ready to hit the snooze button. I'm not ready to wake up at dark-thirty to get myself ready and then my baby ready. I'm not ready to leave my baby 8-10 hours a day. I'm not ready to give someone else control of taking care of my sweet girl. I'm not ready to drop Bristol off at her first day of "school". I'm not ready to anticipate sad tears coming from my baby when she realizes momma is leaving. I'm not ready to not wear my pajama's almost all day long. I'm not ready to sometimes put on a happy face when sometimes I'm not happy. I'm not ready to not be able to make random trips to Chick-fil-a for my dose of diet dr. pepper. I'm not ready to give my a lot of my freedom. I'm not ready to give up my title as "stay at home mom". I'm not ready to "leave" the playgroup Bristol and I are in and have grown to love. I'm just not ready, ok? </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am praying that these feelings of "I'm not ready" will go away, sooner than later. I am praying that my feelings of anxiety and worry with disappear. I am praying that a peace of understanding will cover my body in the upcoming days. I am praying that I will accept that going back to work is the best choice for my family right now. I am praying that the spirit of the Lord will help me transition into this "new normal". </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I'm hoping my next post I can share with you about my new job and some other happenings going on like Bristol's first birthday theme. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol turned 10 months on June 15th and boy, her 10th month might be the most exciting yet! She started to crawl this month which has been so exciting! It's the most precious thing I have ever seen. At first, she wasn't so sure about it. She would start to crawl and then stop and roll over, get frustrated and then try again. That next day, she was a whole new baby. I think she realized that if she kept at it, she could really get to where she wanted to go. Now, she isn't fast, which is OK with me, but it's precious nonetheless. Bristol also pulls up on things with help. She isn't a fan of putting a lot of weight on her legs, which worries me a little. It has been a concern of mine for quite some time, but she has shown progress, baby steps right? She definitely is on her own schedule and likes to do things her way which I am ok with. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol's blue eyes are by far one of my favorite things on earth. I love them so much, not only because I "gave" her blue eyes, but they are stunning. :) She is constantly complimented on her pretty eyes. Now, daddy gets credit for her shape of eyes and long eye lashes :) Her hair color is still a mystery. Although, lately, it has been more strawberry blonde - but one some days it's blonde. Bristol's skin is very fair, which she gets from me as well. Still no teeth! I can't believe she still doesn't have a tooth, it blows my mind. I feel like she has been teething for months and months. Crazy. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol loves to make this face now, it's pretty funny. Do you see her little curls popping out on either side of her ears? LOVE LOVE LOVE! Her daddy had little curls like that when he was little, I on the other hand, had a head full of curly ringlits. Her hair is getting longer each month. She has more hair in the back then any other spot. The side of her head are lacking some hair, there is some, but definitely not like the top and back of her head. We transitioned from wearing headbands with bows to wearing a petite little bow clipped on her head, it's so cute. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol loves to make this face and we love seeing her make it. She loves sitting in her bumbo in the bathroom with me while I get ready. She loves to look at the mirror and see herself and me getting ready. She still loves to watch Mickey Mouse Clubhouse in the mornings right after her bottle. She laughs and smiles during the whole episode. Bristol loves any toy that makes music and loves books. She lovvvvvvvves to turn each page, close the book and start all over again. She has an alphabet book that has pictures of people for some of the letters and she will kiss each person. The letter Y has a mirror and she will kiss herself in the mirror, melts my heart each time she does that. She loves to clap for herself and will clap on command. She gives the sweetest open mouth kisses you will ever get. Bristol will go to anyone for the most part. She will reach out to strangers if we are shopping which is cute but scares me at the same time, hahaha. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol went swimming for the first time this month. She really enjoyed it. She is a busy body so she would from sitting in her float to swimming with momma and then dada and then start the process all over again. It got very tiring for Brandon and I but we loved watching her explore and enjoy the water. She would kick her legs and splash the water with her sweet little hands. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
She loves when Daddy comes home from work. She hears the door open and immediately looks towards the kitchen because she knows that he is coming that way. She still says "da-da" quite often. She has says "nonna" which I think she is trying to say "momma". She babbles and laughs all the time. One of her favorite things to do is throw toys out of her carseat while in the car. It drives me nuts but she loves to do it. So when I go to open the door all the toys come tumbling out and all over the ground. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-d5o19EeTC0U/T_jt4DJACqI/AAAAAAAACAk/QMn_yY22sso/s1600/IMG_8939.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-d5o19EeTC0U/T_jt4DJACqI/AAAAAAAACAk/QMn_yY22sso/s640/IMG_8939.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I still think she is a momma's girl, although she will go to anyone, she usually wants to come right back to me. People still say that she looks both Brandon and I. It's so amazing to see what features she has of mine and what features she has of Brandon - God truly is amazing when creating such a perfect gift like a child. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol LOVVVVVVES her cousin Maddy. She goes crazy when she sees her. She wants to touch her all the time. Of course we make sure she is gentle when she touches her. I love this picture. Bristol has started to "kiss" us when we ask for a kiss. She is kissing Maddy in this picture and it's soo cute. Don't you love my face and my brother's? haha Since Maddy has arrived, Bristol has taken a liking to babies and little people ( toddlers, kids). She gets so happy and excited when she sees someone her size anywhere we go, it's rather cute. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
She loves her Uncle Ste-Ste ( Stephen). When I was little, I couldn't say Stephen so I called him Ste-Ste :) She thinks he is funny and well, he is. He can be a little rough with her, but I know it's only because he loves her and likes to make her laugh and smile. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Uncle Stephen gave Bristol water out of a bottle for the first time and now she is obsessed with water bottles. She would rather drink it out of the bottle than out of a sippy cup. She loves water too, which makes me happy.<br />

<div style="text-align: center;">
Sometimes, Bristol doesn't like to be crawling for very long and this is the face she will give you. She gets frustrated and will fuss and whine and then start crawling again. It's a cycle. But this precious little girl tries to hard to get to where she is going and it's beyond cute. We have to put something in front of her to crawl to and it's gotta be something "good" too. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-v81KDOYqhE0/T_j2VXoLqnI/AAAAAAAACBo/ik6NP3uYhiU/s1600/IMG_9197.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-v81KDOYqhE0/T_j2VXoLqnI/AAAAAAAACBo/ik6NP3uYhiU/s640/IMG_9197.JPG" width="640" /><span id="goog_2078420129"></span><span id="goog_2078420130"></span></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Once she gets the item she crawls to, she grabs and rolls over with it. Often, she will bonk her head with whatever she grabbed, it's funny. She loves this little turtle in the picture. It sings and she loves anything that makes noise or has music. <br />
<br />
I realize that this post probably makes no sense and that's because I am going on little sleep and because this post has been written over the span of several days. I am pretty sure this will be the last time that happens because my thoughts are all over the place, ha. </div>Kelliannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03983809215149182810noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4038601008557966784.post-64850470676943669332012-06-15T20:22:00.002-07:002012-06-15T20:23:27.347-07:00not ready for this<div style="text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NxZ53RYN8W4/T9v6fd1uXEI/AAAAAAAAB_Q/NlwgPoJgAgw/s1600/IMG_3584.JPG" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-NxZ53RYN8W4/T9v6fd1uXEI/AAAAAAAAB_Q/NlwgPoJgAgw/s640/IMG_3584.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
In less than 2 months, I will be sending my sweet baby girl to "school" ( daycare, but I hate that word). I know the time was going to come sooner or later. It seriously pains me to think she will be in the care of someone else other than ME. Often, I will be watching Bristol play on the ground and I get teary eyed thinking about the first day I drop her off at school. I know I am going to be an emotional wreck. I also know that it's going to take some "getting use to" with dropping her off everyday. I like the school she will be going to, it's clean, has video cameras on her room so anyone </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
(my family) can log in to a password secure website and watch Bristol, and the doors remain locked all day, that way no Joe-Smoe can walk in. We are paying a lot of money every week, but you get what you pay for and those items I listed above are so very important to me. They offer something called " discovery days" where I can drop Bristol off at school for a few hours and she will get to be in her class, meet her teachers and new friends and try and get familiar with everything. I will probably do this in July. I'm sure I will get emotional dropping her off. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I just get this picture in my mind of me handing Bristol off to her teacher and he just looking at me with such a sad face. I mean, what if her teachers don't do everything I have asked? What if they don't change her diaper soon enough and she gets a bad rash? What if they don't give her her bottle when she needs it. What if she is playing on the ground and she tips over and bumps her head because she is still a little wobbly with sitting up?? I'm a control freak when it comes to Bristol. I mean, I want it done the way I would do it, just ask Brandon. I'm worried they won't follow me written instructions, I'm worried about so many things. I'd be lying to you if I said I wasn't. I know that so many families send their child to day care and they are happy with their chosen place, but gosh, I am scared. I'm sitting here tearing up about it. I want Bristol to like it, I want her to get the most out of it, I really do. I'm sure she will, I know she will. I remember when I used to work at Primrose when I was younger. Parent's would drop off their child and the child would cry, scream and just throw a fit. I can't help but think that as Bristol becomes more aware of what is going on and that I won't be around during the day, she will start to do things like this. Oh... my mind has wandered about so many things. I could keep going. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I hate that I am going to miss so many things she will do during the day. Like, what if she learns to walk at school and I MISS that? My mind is flooded with things that I won't be present for like I am present for right now. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I am so very thankful for this time that her and I have gotten to spend with each other. I know that not every mom can be a "stay at home mom", I was lucky enough to be one for a year. Off to work I go in August, without my baby. I just wish I could bring her with me. She would be so well behaved :) Speaking of behavior, Bristol really has no issues with other people holding her. She has been around other babies/kids and adults her whole 10 months of life. I know that this will help when it's time to go to "school". Well, at least I hope it will. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I find myself in constant prayer over this situation. Although I am sad/mad/upset/scared and anything else you can think of, I am excited to go back to work and a part of me feels guilty about that. I am excited about bringing in some much needed income and having some "me" time. My prayer is that I have a sense of peace and comfort about this situation. It's constantly on my mind and heart and I want it to be a good feeling, not a sad feeling. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
I guess that is all for now. If you would like to, please say a prayer or 2 or 3 or everyday for myself, Brandon and Bristol during this time of transition. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>

</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol Elaine is 9 months old, well actually, she is almost 10 months old....... sigh. I have been meaning to write this post for days now, DAYS! But, life has been super busy lately between photo shoots, the end of the school year for Brandon, birthdays, parties - you name it, we've been to it or celebrated it. Bristol is 1 week away from turning 10 months and I am finally getting to this post. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
She had her 9 month check up a couple weeks ago and she clocked in at 16.05 lbs, 27 inches long.... still my little peanut. She falls into the 10% for her age. No shots at the last appointment, thank goodness. Next appointment is her 1 year..... which makes me a little sad to think about. I still can't believe how fast the last almost 10 months have gone by. There are so many moments over the last 10 months that I can recall like it happened yesterday, and here we are, 2 months shy of her first birthday? I hope that I don't ever forget the sweet moments that are engraved in my memory. </div>
<br />
<br />
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gAVpRCUAmSw/T9K863EzU0I/AAAAAAAAB9k/Sy7cpOJHYFM/s1600/IMG_5804.JPG" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="426" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-gAVpRCUAmSw/T9K863EzU0I/AAAAAAAAB9k/Sy7cpOJHYFM/s640/IMG_5804.JPG" width="640" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol's Dr. wanted to start her on 3 meals a day, and since that appointment, we have followed her request.... well for the most part. There might be a day or two that she will only get 2 meals ( with 4-6 bottles a day ). If our schedule is crazy busy, 2 meals it is. She loves ALL fruit, bread, turkey, chicken, noodles, yogurt melts, puffs, kidney beans and baby food. I am slowly getting her off the baby food, I still have some jars left and I don't want to waste them. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
She still LOVES to look at her hands. I'm sure she is thinking " hmmm.. these things come in handy!" She will turn her hand around and just stare at it, it's precious. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">

She has gotten so good at using her pointer finger and thumb to pick things up. In fact, she often wants to feed herself. She will push my hands out of the way. Actually, she will push my hands out of the way for a lot of things. Makes me kind of sad that she doesn't want momma to help her but at the same time, it's so neat to see her become more independent and explore things. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol took her first real "vacation" during her 9th month. We ventured out to Oklahoma City to go to the Women's College World Series. My dad, myself and Bristol flew out on a Wednesday and came back that Sunday. We had a great time and Bristol was SUPER BABY. I swear, she never cried or got upset. She fussed a couple of times but that was due to lack of sleep. She was such a trooper and I certainly could not have done that trip alone. Traveling with a baby is WORK. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
She still loves the Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. We have tried Baby Einstein, Praise Baby and anything else you can think... she really isn't interested. She loves her Mickey friends. She got these 3 new friends on our trip. She loved them and I LOVED seeing her with them. She loves stuffed animals, it's the cutest thing. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol's eyes are the prettiest I have ever seen. I know I'm her mom, but goodness gracious, they are piercing blue. She is getting to where she won't wear a bow much anymore, makes me sad. She attempts to rip it off a lot, but I will put it back on :) </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
I finally got around to taking her 9 month photos. I attempted it one evening at an old house down the road from where we live, but the sun was so bright that none of the pictures turned out. This pettiskirt was made by a sweet friend of mine. She is soooooo talented. She has made Bristol several different outfits, one of which is her july 4th outfit...it's sooo cute!</div>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: small;">Right after this picture, Bristol rolled right over. Rolling over is her mode of transportation. She isn't crawling yet which is OK with me. She is acting like she wants to, she just needs to put all the parts together. She also isn't pulling up on anything either, I am working with her on that as well. She really has a mind of her own and does things on her own time. </span></td></tr>

<tr><td class="tr-caption" style="text-align: center;"><span style="font-size: small;">Bristol loved cheering at the softball games. She also really loves clapping and waving "Hi" to people. We celebrated Daddy's birthday in May. He sure does love his girl and she sure does love her "dada". Dada is her first word. She will say it over and over again, it melts your heart. So, I am entering a photo in a photo contest for the very first time. I follow "<a href="http://www.rocktheshotforum.com/">rock the shot</a>" on facebook and they host a monthly photo contest and this months theme is "wild flowers". Since I recently took pictures of Bristol in the black eyed susans, I figured I'd enter the contest, why the heck not? </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Here's a little background info for this photo....</div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
I had been "eyeing" these flowers for weeks which were located on my church's property. I love black eyed susans and KNEW I wanted to take Bristol there to snap a few pictures. We went to dinner that day and after dinner we made a pit stop at church. It was right around 7:15pm ( which is one of my FAVORITE times to shoot pictures). I knew the evening sun would go down FAST so I had to hurry and get Bristol set up and start snapping away. I wanted the sun haze in the picture so I squated down really low, I'm pretty sure I was laying on my stomach getting eaten alive by skeeters, but it sure was worth every single skeeter bite I got, haha. I love every single thing about this picture. The pop of colors, the sun haze, the wild flowers in the background.... everything! I took this photo with my canon 7d using my 50mm 1.8 lens. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol Elaine sure does love her Grandaddy! The minute she sees him her face lights up with a huge smile! Of course, Bristol has Grandaddy wrapped around her sweet little fingers ( all of them, haha!) He would do anything for "his girl" and he makes that known. It's so precious to see him with her especially since I'm his "baby girl". I can't wait to watch this relationship grow and flourish over the next several years. I know that when Bristol is aware of her surroundings, she will immediately know that her Grandaddy loves her to the moon and back. He spoils her rotten already and I know as she gets older it will only get worse ( in a good way of course!) My dad gave Bristol a nickname "Boo-Boo". Growing up, I was nicknamed "Bo-Bo" and so when he came up with "boo-boo" it was only fitting for Bristol. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IJS9BmYtMCo/T6gfmT-WC-I/AAAAAAAAB64/kJ5zIVNSjFQ/s1600/IMG_3546.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-IJS9BmYtMCo/T6gfmT-WC-I/AAAAAAAAB64/kJ5zIVNSjFQ/s640/IMG_3546.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Grandaddy and his girl posing outside on their porch. He says how much she changes every time he sees her. It's almost a given that he will say " well she looks different today than the last time I saw her. He constantly comments on her "pug nose" and "piercing blue eyes". He always talks about the future with her and how he can't wait to see her running around like a little rugrat. There are so many things grandaddy wants to do with her, take her places, show her things... it's precious to hear him talk like that. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-p1IAN-onaEo/T6gfyBBc1cI/AAAAAAAAB7A/nnnCV6DxPOE/s1600/IMG_3549.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-p1IAN-onaEo/T6gfyBBc1cI/AAAAAAAAB7A/nnnCV6DxPOE/s640/IMG_3549.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol resembles grandaddy's baby pictures, it's cute! Bristol loves to grab his hat and try to rip it off. She loves to play peek-a-boo with him at my parents house using the hallway mirror. He loves to take Bristol shopping and buy her an outfit or a toy - it's so sweet and generous that he wants to do things like that. Grandaddy is over the moon with his "brittle girl" and can't wait to take her on her first "real trip" at the end of May. It's Grandaddy and "his girls" :) He talks non-stop about Bristol playing softball. We joke that she will be hitting home runs over the fence in tee-ball. Between her grandaddy and momma, Bristol will be ready to the the field at an early age! </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TuAxNe-jXiY/T6gf-dUa8oI/AAAAAAAAB7I/yI8ncgvY6TM/s1600/IMG_3551.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="640" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-TuAxNe-jXiY/T6gf-dUa8oI/AAAAAAAAB7I/yI8ncgvY6TM/s640/IMG_3551.jpg" width="426" /></a></div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol is his pride and joy. He requests for a picture everyday to be sent to him via cell phone or email. He often tells me how much Bristol looks like me when I was a baby. I know that it brings back many memories for him. Grandaddy is always willing to feed her, change her diaper, carry her around and entertain her anywhere we go. It's the sweetest thing ever. </div>
<div style="text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<div style="text-align: center;">
Bristol Elaine is named after grandaddy's mom ( my nannie). Her name is Elaine and I know that his heart smiles the biggest smile knowing that his first granddaughter is named after his sweet and precious mom. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
If Grandaddy hasn't received an email, text or phone call during the day, he will send me a text saying " need a picture of my baby" or give me a call to just "check in" and see how we are doing. It's the sweetest thing ever. </div>

I couldn't imagine my life without my dad and I know my dad couldn't imagine his life without Bristol. She is the luckiest little girl to have a man in her life like her grandaddy. He truly is the best grandfather any little girl could have. I love watching him get excited to see Bristol, it really is the cutest thing ever. My dad is the perfect example of a self-less father and grandfather. He puts God first and his family second, exactly how it should be. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Grandaddy had a procedure done a couple days ago so Bristol and I went to visit with him all day. We played, napped, ate, played and napped again. We ended the day with dinner and shopping. It was so sweet to see him lay on the floor with her. He wanted to make sure she didn't roll off the blankets. </div>

<div style="text-align: center;">
Dad/Grandaddy, You truly are the best dad and grandaddy anyone could ask for. You are the perfect example of what a father and grandfather should be. I look up to you and always have and I know that Bristol will do the same when she is old enough. We love you and Thank God for you EVERY.SINGLE.DAY. </div>

She finally graduated to her rubber ducky tub! She absolutely loves it! Although, I have had a hard time washing her hair since she sits up. The water always drips into her eyes and she is not a fan of that. I have to lay her flat in the tub ( NO WATER IS IN THERE, I DRAIN IT) and rinse her hair that way. She isn't a big fan of that either but she tolerates it. </div>

baby girl playing with her toys at omi and grandaddy's house. she is at such a fun age, she can sit and play with her toys for so long. it's nice that she can entertain herself, especially if i need to fold laundry or do dishes. she is very content as long as she has her toys in front of her. </div>

bristol is always on a mission to find the perfect toy to play with. it's funny to watch her pick her toys up and play with them. when she doesn't want it anymore, she throws it to the side and starts sifting through her other toys to get the one she wants! </div>

I believe I started my blog in 2007 and now 300 posts later, it's still kickin'. My blog has been a place for me to be transparent, real and honest ( pretty much, all those words mean the same thing but listing them makes it look better, ha!). I'm sure there have been times when I have said things that people haven't agreed with, liked or I might have offended someone. But it's my blog and I feel that I can say what I want and when I want, so there. But most of all, I truly have enjoyed documenting my life via blog form and also adding pictures along the way. I think it will be neat to look back at this in 20 years and see where I was and how far I have come.<br /></div><br /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qrk6ZxzIJA0/T48ZJvWoCFI/AAAAAAAAB5I/4ijZecozzME/s1600/IMG_2963.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-qrk6ZxzIJA0/T48ZJvWoCFI/AAAAAAAAB5I/4ijZecozzME/s400/IMG_2963.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5732828505786812498" border="0" /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center;">More importantly that my 300th post, my baby turned 8 months old on April 15. My oh my, how time is flying by. Bristol is the light of my life and I couldn't imagine my life without her. Just over the last couple weeks she has gotten a little personality full of giggles. She loves to play peek-a-boo, grab her puppies, go outside, roll over and watch mickey mouse. Her face lights up when daddy walks in the door from work. Lately, when we go on walks, she falls right sleep in her stroller, which by the way, she barely fits in. Bristol is still very tiny. People often think she is only 5-6 months old. I love that she is tiny, it makes it easy on me, especially with her clothes, she has been getting to wear a lot of them and the same with diapers.<br /></div><br /><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SqMtiJgHBHU/T48YeuDhsnI/AAAAAAAAB48/Segr4FYw5kg/s1600/IMG_2964.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-SqMtiJgHBHU/T48YeuDhsnI/AAAAAAAAB48/Segr4FYw5kg/s400/IMG_2964.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5732827766703895154" border="0" /></a>My sweet girl is still a great eater. So far, out of all the food she has tried, she has loved everything except avocado. She still eats about 2 meals a day with bottles in between. She still cries when she is finished eating but will stop quickly once she gets her paci. Once she is finished drinking her bottle, we have to take away very fast and hide it, because if she sees it, she will want it and then throws a fit. She has some good eyes! And ears! Both of those body parts work amazingly!<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iTFKzg_jres/T48XNNG0A_I/AAAAAAAAB4w/hR0YJh2CWlY/s1600/IMG_2793.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-iTFKzg_jres/T48XNNG0A_I/AAAAAAAAB4w/hR0YJh2CWlY/s400/IMG_2793.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5732826366289904626" border="0" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">She still wears a bow or flower on her head when we are in public. In fact, one time, I didn't put a bow on her head before we left the house. Brandon noticed and looked at me and said " Babe, she isn't wearing a bow.... are you ok?" HAHA! He knows that she HAS to have a bow on her head or flower. She has beautifully long eyelashes, JUST LIKE HER DADDY. Before she was born, actually, before children were even in the picture, I always told Brandon that I hope our baby would have long eyelashes like him. :) God heard my request.<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kTgmQPojYGI/T48Wmyc8riI/AAAAAAAAB4k/3J_1YQ1sC9k/s1600/IMG_2980.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-kTgmQPojYGI/T48Wmyc8riI/AAAAAAAAB4k/3J_1YQ1sC9k/s400/IMG_2980.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5732825706299960866" border="0" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">Loving this weather lately so we've been going on some walks. She was tuckered out from a hard day of rolling around. She has mastered the art of rolling and it makes me so happy. Therapy has been a saving grace and I am so thankful she goes. She loves her therapists and has adapted so well. The other day I was changing her diaper on the floor in her bedroom, I took the diaper off and turned to the right to get the new diaper, before my eyes, she had rolled over and her tooshie was sticking up in the air! I laughed soo hard. She kept rolling back and forth and then I realized that she might pee so I got the new diaper on FAST.<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o867T-L400w/T48WPllE0hI/AAAAAAAAB4Y/W0BKs3AtbJQ/s1600/IMG_2798.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-o867T-L400w/T48WPllE0hI/AAAAAAAAB4Y/W0BKs3AtbJQ/s400/IMG_2798.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5732825307707396626" border="0" /></a>We are teaching her to wave hi and it's precious when she does it. Of course, she will only do it when she wants but that's ok. In the picture above she is waving :) This was with her daddy at his school ,they had their school carnival, daddy was in the dunk tank. This was in his classroom before we ventured out to the carnival. We wanted to eat in peace and quiet :) She still has to wear a bib 24/7, except when she is sleeping. She has been spitting up more lately because of teething. I think it has caused her some discomfort because she hasn't been acting herself lately.<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oAK50PxUxEw/T48V4fwBvhI/AAAAAAAAB4M/HRXnnkBLhn0/s1600/IMG_2902.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-oAK50PxUxEw/T48V4fwBvhI/AAAAAAAAB4M/HRXnnkBLhn0/s400/IMG_2902.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5732824911005728274" border="0" /></a>Her feet FINALLY touch the ground in her bouncer. This has been a LONG TIME coming. Now that they can touch the floor, she has realized that she can bounce. It makes her so happy that she can move and groove in the bouncer. She loves to spin things, it's so cute. She has several toys that you can spin and she goes to town on those. Bristol still takes 2 naps a day and her sleeping has gotten better. KNOCK ON WOOD! She loves to read books, pat them and smile when she is being read to. Loves mickey mouse and minnie mouse so much! She has a minnie mouse doll and when she sees it she goes crazy! It's so cute! Bristol loves to be in the baby bjorn when we are in public.<br /><br />My little girl is growing up so fast. It's hard to believe that August will be here before I know it! I can't wait to see what the up and coming months have in store for Bristol Elaine!<br /></div><br /><div style="text-align: center;"><br /><br /><br /></div>Kelliannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03983809215149182810noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4038601008557966784.post-62032000232029373282012-04-16T09:27:00.003-07:002012-04-16T09:37:06.660-07:00leaving on a jet plane<div style="text-align: center;">Bristol, my dad and I will be taking a trip to Oklahoma at the end of May. We are going to the Women's College Softball World Series! This has been a dream of mine ever since I was a little girl. I grew up playing softball. I started when I was 7 years old and played through college, well only 2 years at ACU. We are going from May 30 - June 3. In fact, a couple of girls my dad and I used to coach might be going to WCWS this year.<br /><br />This will be the first time that Bristol will be traveling a far distance, let alone on a plane. The real reason for this post is to ask ANY of your moms who have traveled via plane ride with your baby.<br /><br />I need suggestions for what to bring on the actual flight and what to pack for the trip. I mean, I know the basics but Bristol isn't known for being the easiest baby to just sit on your lap and be content. So this plane ride is making me nervous.<br /><br />So please , let me know some items that you packed for the plane ride to keep your baby happy and content. Right now, the only thing I can think of is food and mickey mouse. ha!<br /></div>Kelliannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03983809215149182810noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4038601008557966784.post-65969908409136168462012-04-10T08:47:00.005-07:002012-04-10T09:07:57.065-07:00busy bee<div style="text-align: center;"><span style="text-decoration: underline;">We have been quite the busy bees lately. I've been taking pictures non-stop WHICH I LOVE, but we have been on the go so much lately that we are all running on empty. We had a great Easter spending it with family. Of course Bristol got spoiled. She got 5 Easter baskets full of goodies! Books, toys, a new rubber ducky blow up bath tub, sunscreen for her fair fair skin, puzzles, 4 outfits.... oh the list goes on. She is so blessed to have amazing grandparents who spoil her.<br /><br />I just love getting to celebrate holidays with her but for some reason, I always FAIL to get a good family picture at the start of the day. Either, we don't get a family picture OR its at the end of the day when we all look like a mess. At least we got a picture right? Anyway.... we went to church Sunday morning and Bristol usually does well but she wasn't feel well at all. I think she has been running a fever. She is teething pretty bad and has been spitting up at least 2-3 a day which NEVER used to happen. I'm thinking since she is spitting up to much the acid in the spit up is hurting her because she will arch her back and fuss and fuss. Poor baby. I called the dr. yesterday and she called her in some medicine so I'm hoping it will help.<br /><br /></span><span style="text-decoration: underline;"></span></div><span style="text-decoration: underline;"><br /></span><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9pGj2Ero5Ws/T4RWh-EpDEI/AAAAAAAAB3o/Y26VJ_sIhJU/s1600/IMG_2898.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-9pGj2Ero5Ws/T4RWh-EpDEI/AAAAAAAAB3o/Y26VJ_sIhJU/s400/IMG_2898.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5729799767520250946" border="0" /></a></div><div style="text-align: center;">My mom got this owl hat made for Bristol and her soon to be cousin Maddy. They have matching hats and I can't wait to take their pictures together! Of course I had to do a little photo shoot with her modeling the hat, it's just too cute not to take pictures. She never tried to pull it off either, must be the " she has worn bows since she popped out of me" thing.<br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Piog4rBYbjE/T4RWPAPMswI/AAAAAAAAB3c/lsnbCxvgGZw/s1600/IMG_2853.jpg"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 267px; height: 400px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-Piog4rBYbjE/T4RWPAPMswI/AAAAAAAAB3c/lsnbCxvgGZw/s400/IMG_2853.jpg" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5729799441683886850" border="0" /></a>She is sitting up so well and it makes me sooooo happy!<br /><br /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center;"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Hchn9CRbJfg/T4RW_5Xv37I/AAAAAAAAB30/RCC_o32EfMc/s1600/IMG_2947.JPG"><img style="display:block; margin:0px auto 10px; text-align:center;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 400px; height: 267px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-Hchn9CRbJfg/T4RW_5Xv37I/AAAAAAAAB30/RCC_o32EfMc/s400/IMG_2947.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5729800281654288306" border="0" /></a>We went to Brandon's parents house in the early evening to do an "egg hunt" in their backyard. At this point, she wasn't wearing her easter outfit but when I wanted to get some pics of her sitting in the yard with the eggs, I ran to the car and got her outfit and did a little wardrobe change. She didn't give us one smile the whole time but that's ok, she is still cute! :)<br /><br />I hope all of you had a wonderfully blessed Easter like we did!<br /><br /><br /></div>Kelliannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03983809215149182810noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4038601008557966784.post-54300503769087191282012-04-01T13:50:00.007-07:002012-04-02T19:11:32.105-07:007 months of pure joy<div align="center"><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yIA35TniiSI/T3jANEkm8gI/AAAAAAAAB3Q/Y_58QrBu2nc/s1600/IMG_18087%2Bmonths.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5726538256999707138" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-yIA35TniiSI/T3jANEkm8gI/AAAAAAAAB3Q/Y_58QrBu2nc/s400/IMG_18087%2Bmonths.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br />Bristol turned 7 months old on March 15. These pictures were taken today, April 1. I've been so behind over the past several months with taking her pictures on the actual day she turns a new month. I am determined to take her picture on the 15th of every month starting when she turns 8 months. So although she is "older" than 7 months in this picture, she is still in the 7 month, so it still counts. At least I'm not taking her 7 month picture in her 9 month. Yeah, this has become too confusing. ha! </div><br /><br /><div align="center">My sweet baby girl has developed quite the personality. She loves to giggle at momma and daddy, full of smiles, kicks those little legs and is a little ham. She get more fun each month. I really feel like when she turned 7 months her little personality has blossomed. Like I said, she is a little ham around her momma and daddy but when we get into public, that's a whole new story. More times this month I have heard this phrase " wow, she is so serious". It's true, this chick doesn't like to smile for strangers or anyone she doesn't know very well. At times, I feel bad when she doesn't smile at people because I don't want people to think she isn't a happy baby, because she really is. But truth me told, I was THE.EXACT.SAME.WAY when I was her age. I would NEVER smile for anyone or the camera. At least I can get Bristol to smile for pictures. </div><br /><br /><div align="center">She is definitely gainging more weight. You can see it in her arms, legs and cheeks. She has always had a chunky set of cheeks, which I love! Her hair is getting thicker and longer, it grows over her ears which is toooooooooooo cute. I always get a good little laugh when I see her hair over her little ears. We are still not sure what color her hair is. It can look blonde, brown, strawberry blonde, red.... depends on the lighting. Bristol likes to pull off her bow/headband when she is in her carseat. She will then usually put it in her mouth after ripping it off. But when we are out and about in public, she never messes with it. Out of sight out of mind.<br /><br /></div><br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rEv7NDL8P9U/T3i_578FfAI/AAAAAAAAB24/MeKTc-dbank/s1600/IMG_18357%2Bmonthws3.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5726537928264743938" border="0" alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/-rEv7NDL8P9U/T3i_578FfAI/AAAAAAAAB24/MeKTc-dbank/s400/IMG_18357%2Bmonthws3.jpg" /></a> Bristol is teething and it still no teeth. We have had some rough nights over the last month or so. Her poor little mouth is red and swollen. I can see the tooth buds but none have cut through the gums. I swear, I wake up everyday thinking at least 5 have popped through. Sounds dramatic I know, but really, teething has been the PITS in the Barron house. I know it doesn't get any better either for awhile. Bristol likes to chew on anything but she specifically loves beaded necklaces. At therapy they give her necklaces to motivate her to roll over, turn her neck a certain way, etc. Brandon brought home a few necklaces awhile back and I work with her on rolling over with them. She loves to put them in her mouth, but don't worry, I never leave her alone with them and they are the kind where if the necklace breaks, no beads come off. I bought her a bead teether and she LOVES it.<br /></div><br /><div align="center">Rolling over is getting easier for Bristol along with sitting up all by herself. I am so proud of her for both milestones. It's been something that we work on every single day. Although she still doesn't like to be on her tummy, we still work on using her neck muscles which help her roll over. We are also working on bearing weight on her legs. She can do it, but only when she wants. I'm working hard on different positions for her to be in to straighen her legs and get her feet flat on the ground. Therapy really has helped her and I am so happy we decided to put her in it. I enjoy watching her "work out" every Friday. I also get to participate which makes me happy. </div><br /><br /><div align="center">Bristol still loves to grab her feet and now she can put them in her mouth. It's quite funny. She still loves bath time. Boy does she love bath time. She could sit in there all day if we would let her. I can't wait till she is sturdy enough to sit up in the rub and play with toys. It will be a whole new world for her and well me too. Her sleep is still rocky. She usually takes 1-2 naps during the day, depending on what is going on in our busy schedule. But today, she is going on her 3rd nap, which NEVER happens. But I will take it! She sleeps anywhere from 45 - 1 hr and 30 min. She has been suprising me lately and has taken 2, 2 hour naps. I was jumping for joy. Night time is a different issue. She will either go down perfect but then wake up an hr later screaming and crying or she will scream and cry when she first goes down and then will cry herself to sleep. She still wakes up 1-2 times a night which has taken a toll on me lately. I miss the days where she slept through the night. </div><br /><div align="center"><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hNZnkFEZpxY/T3i_0OdfJGI/AAAAAAAAB2s/j0qVLtp4TSM/s1600/IMG_1818%2B7months2.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5726537830157460578" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-hNZnkFEZpxY/T3i_0OdfJGI/AAAAAAAAB2s/j0qVLtp4TSM/s400/IMG_1818%2B7months2.jpg" /></a> Tink Tink ( i gave her this nickname when she was itty bitty and she was having poopy problems, sorry if thats too much info) loves to scrunch her nose when she smiles, it's the cutest thing ever. She is making all sorts of noises, screaming, squealing, humming, growling, fake coughing, grunting... the list goes on. I love every single noise she makes. It's precious. It also tells me how much she is growing up and changing which makes me a little sad. I do not see her crawling anytime soon and I am perfectly ok with that. I actually enjoy not having a mobile baby.<br /><br /></div><br /><div align="center">Bristol still loves all her food! We tried mum mums for the first time this month. She really likes them but we have to be extra careful with them because she literally can bite a huge piece off and it doesn't dissolve right away. She also likes puffs which she has had 1 time. I am slowly going to introduce those, since she can't grab any food out of my hand yet. So far, the only food she didn't like was avocado, everything she loves. I am still making mostly all her baby food. I'm not going to make the meat. Too hard and too time consuming. She will be eating organic if I buy it. She likes the chicken and sweet potatoes and turkey ( and something else I can't remember).<br /><br />She made her first art project the other day at the Easter playgroup. It was fingerprint flowers. So cute! Something else that is SUPER CUTE that she does it reach for people. I can put my arms or hands out and she will reach for me and I.LOVE.IT!!! Makes me feel sooo good. Bristol loves when daddy comes home, she gets the biggest smile on her face and gets sooo happy. Sometimes she gets shy and it's precious. She still loves Mickey Mouse Clubhouse :) She loves her bouncer more and more and is less into sitting in her lamb chair. I am going to put that away soon.<br /><br />Bristol loves to be outside. She is very interested in her surroundings and has found a love for the outdoors. We took our first trip to the park by the house the other day and she loved it. She was a beautiful day and our park has a shade cover over it so it was perfect for us to sit on the ground on a towel and play with toys. Brandon and I also took her to Oyster Creek Park awhile back and she LOVED it. We have a problem with her in her stroller, since she is soo tiny, she has a hard time being comfortable in it. It's a City-mini jogging stroller. Either I don't have the straps right or she is still too tiny for it. Oh well, we use it and she will slowly get used to it. I have also taken her on our back porch with her toys and set up a towel and brought her bumbo out there so we can enjoy this nice spring weather.<br /><br />I've really been slacking on taking pictures of her in our everyday life. I've been so busy with my little photography biz that I often forget to grab the camera and snap a few for her. My goal for month 8 is to really slow down and focus on her and capturing sweet moments of thing she loves, loves doing, etc.<br /><br />Well, that's about all I can recall. This post as taken me 2 days to write. My mind is on overdrive and I can barely form sentences, correct ones at that.<br /><br />I can't wait to see what month 8 has in store for my sweet baby girl. I love Bristol Elaine, to the heavens and back.<br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-BuhVTuDux_o/T3i_p2h0q3I/AAAAAAAAB2g/UDUX4lHzamE/s1600/IMG_18087%2Bmonths.jpg"></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><br /><div></div><br /></div>Kelliannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03983809215149182810noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4038601008557966784.post-36711450896003411872012-03-27T10:02:00.005-07:002012-03-27T10:07:22.590-07:00bluebonnets<a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4ltCh0oSvFU/T3HzSJSoQTI/AAAAAAAAB2U/Qeg5U8kayQY/s1600/IMG_0651edit.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 267px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 400px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5724624094421860658" border="0" alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-4ltCh0oSvFU/T3HzSJSoQTI/AAAAAAAAB2U/Qeg5U8kayQY/s400/IMG_0651edit.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2BbtbRf4D04/T3HzALLth4I/AAAAAAAAB2I/SlEpjZGaQOo/s1600/IMG_0573edit.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5724623785692071810" border="0" alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/-2BbtbRf4D04/T3HzALLth4I/AAAAAAAAB2I/SlEpjZGaQOo/s400/IMG_0573edit.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br /><div align="center"><a href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yxZDRHy_j7k/T3HyywLb77I/AAAAAAAAB18/yf6wwrDrzfU/s1600/IMG_0525%2B-%2Bedot.jpg"><img style="TEXT-ALIGN: center; MARGIN: 0px auto 10px; WIDTH: 400px; DISPLAY: block; HEIGHT: 267px; CURSOR: hand" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5724623555104862130" border="0" alt="" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/-yxZDRHy_j7k/T3HyywLb77I/AAAAAAAAB18/yf6wwrDrzfU/s400/IMG_0525%2B-%2Bedot.jpg" /></a><br /><br /><br /><br />I have a few spots open for this weekends bluebonnet mini sessions. I'm not sure it can. I was dying to get some shots of Bristol in the bluebonnets. My mom bought this wooden egg crate at hobby lobby and I'm so glad I thought about it. She hasn't quite master sitting up for long periods of time so I knew we needed something for her to sit in. This was the perfect prop, if I say so myself. I took the pictures last night, over 200. Kind of shutterbug happy, but shoot, I couldn't stop snapping pictures of my sweet pea. </div><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><div align="center">I'm still doing mini sessions this weekend and next if the bluebonnets are still pretty. We actually STILL follow that. It's supposed to help them sleep through the night, which it did but now look where we are. i have also followed the book " how to solve your childs sleep problems". it took about 3-4 lonnnnnnnnnnnnnnnnng nights to get her to sleep through the night in her crib, but it worked but until 3 weeks ago, we have come to a dead end. i tried ferberizing last week and since she has been teething so bad i decided to wait. well after the last few nights of NO sleep, i am doing it again. right now, she is screaming. i check in on her from 5-20 mins. i increase the time by 5 mins until i hit the 20 min mark. </div><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><div align="center">last night, bristol woke up every hour. every.single.hour. what? why? every time i heard her cry on the monitor i would think...WHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHY? i know she isn''t doing it on purpose, i know this. but, my goodness, sleep is not a bad thing bristol. she IS teething right now but what she REALLY wants is for momma to rock her and hold her alllll night long. i can pick her up from her crib ( screaming and crying) and she will immediately stop crying, instantly. all she wants is me. while i LOVE that and love knowing that she wants her momma, it's been very difficult to get back on a routine since she has been not wanting to go to bed at her normal bedtime. </div><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><div align="center">i'm so lost, frustrated, upset, sad and any other negative feeling there is. i love her so much i just want her to feel like she can fall asleep in her crib and be ok. which by the way, at nap time she has NO problem going to sleep. no problem at all. babies are smart and i know she knows when its night night time. i pray over her every night and just ask the lord for guidance and just to calm bristol's mind, heart, spirit and body. i just dont know what to do anymore. it really isn't about me not getting sleep, i just really want her to get some rest. good rest. not 2 hrs here or 2 hours there. </div><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><div align="center">if you have any tips, i am so willing to hear them. i probably sound pathetic but i am lost. </div><br /><div align="center"></div><br /><div align="center">i just want my sweet baby to get some rest. </div>Kelliannehttp://www.blogger.com/profile/03983809215149182810noreply@blogger.com2
