seeking prayer warriors

I am not even sure how to start this post off. Well...... my title really explains it all.

I am seeking prayer warriors......for me and Brandon. Is that selfish? I sure hope not. I am needing some MAJOR prayers my way this next week. I don't want to disclose exactly what I need prayers for but if you could pray for some other specific things for me, that would be greatly appreciated.
1. patience
2. peace
3. understanding
4. faithfulness

You see, I could be making a HUGE decision by next Monday that will BETTER Brandon and I's life. One that will FOREVER change our life, for the best. I truly need prayers for Brandon and I as we go through this season of our life not knowing. Not knowing what the next step is or the next path is. We FULLY trust God and his hands that lead us to the unknown. We know that whatever happens in the next week, that God will be GLORIFIED no matter what. Although that is hard to understand sometimes, I know through the good and through the bad God is always glorified.

So if you would, join me in prayer this week for B and I.

I love ya'll :)

Thanks and have a great week!

suggestions?

I am need some help.

Can anyone suggest a GOOD but reasonably priced photo editing program? I had photoshop elements on my PC laptop and I wasn't too much of a fan. ( maybe if I took time to read the manual, that would of enhanced my skills).

So, what programs do you use?

Right now, I am using either my iphoto editing program or picasa. They both are good but I want more.

HELP! :)

foe-toes

The Doty girls....minus JD plus a Barron girl. I love Jaxon and Maddux! It was quite difficult to get a picture of all 3 of us. I had to fake cry to get Jaxon in the photo, she ran to me and gave me a hug. But by the look on her face, she wasn't diggin picture time. By the way, that was me with 4 hours of sleep. New Moon at midnight :)

The chik-a-dee WOULD NOT look at the camera. She was playing games with "Kai-anne"

But Maddi Mae loves the camera. She loves to stick her tongue out too, love this baby!

JD, Me and Danni waiting in line for New Moon at midnight. Good thing JD was a CHAMP and took free tickets from a guy to see NM at 9:00pm. We waited in that line for 1 hr and then before we knew it we were sitting in a theatre watching New Moon BEFORE everyone else! It was pretty much amazing. All thanks to JD!

Sunday Night. Skanchy Night. ( inside joke) This is me with my old co-workers from the ADA. We are all still good friends and we were celebrating Leslie's bday ( girl to the right of me). We ate at the Yard House in the City Centre off of Beltway 8 and 1-10....soooo good!

Pre New Moon picture. I started the Twilight movement at the ADA. I got everyone HOOOOOOOKED! :)

i gave my heart to jesus...

I had a little first grader tell me that she gave her heart to jesus last weekend.

Amazing.

My heart melted when she told me this. melted.

When you think the world is crashing down or you're having a bad day...... to hear those sweet words come out the mouth of a 7 year old makes you want to cry, in a good way, of course.

God is good. He is good all of the time. I am so thankful my little first grader told me those sweet little words.

I hope I hear them again, soon.

155 and m.i.a

This marks my 155th post.....whooopty do! It's also been over a month since I last posted. You can see where my priorities are. I really never get on the computer anymore. My iphone has everything I need....email, facebook, bank account, internet, itunes, games, google maps, weather, etc. See where I am going??

I've definitely been M.I.A ...... missing in action, that is. Maybe not action, but definitely missing. There has been a lot going on for the Barron bunch. I started a new job WHICH I LOVE. I work at an elementary school, its amazing. My hours are great, I get off when the kids get off...its fabulous. Brandon starts his new teaching job this Tuesday. He will be a long term sub for Jan Schiff Elementary in Sienna Plantation. He will be teaching a science lab class, its part of the out classes like music, PE, art, etc. He is VERY nervous. He tells me everyday how nervous he is. This is his first time ever teaching. He wants to make a good impression to the school and principal. Please say a little pray for my sweet husband. I know he is going to do great!

Brandon and I have been sick the past couple of days. He got sick first. And he had been sleeping on the couch because his cough would keep me up at night. I never asked him to sleep on the couch, he just knew it would keep me up at night if he slept in bed with me coughing all night. He is so thoughtful. A day or two after he was sick, I got sick. I was wondering when that was going to happen since I work at a school with sickly kids all day. I swear, kids are gross. At least the ones at my school. I had a girl sneeze on my hand....G.R.O.S.S. I catch at least 1 kinder picking their nose and eating it everyday.... yuck! So my body finally broke down and I got sick. On Friday I was on duty in the back parking lot and it was 50 degrees outside at 7:30am. Out of all the days that I didn't bring my jacket, Friday had to be the day. I had been bringing my jacket in my car and Friday I was jacketless....freezing while opening the car doors and greeting the students. I was so cold but I acted all tough and told ppl I was fine. I wasn't. I was seriously cold the rest of the day. I then came home and realized I had been running a fever and thought that I probably had it all day. I felt horrible. Saturday rolled around. Brandon still sick, me even more sick. This was the first time B and I had been sick together. He would always get sick first, get better and then I would get sick. Not this time. Well...it was about 2pm and I saw some medicine on the kitchen counter and thought...."well isn't this nice...Brandon left me medicine to take"....so I took it. 30 mins later I started to get reaaaaal sleepy. And then it dawned on me. Oh crap! I took drowsy night time medicine. Needless to say I feel asleep from 2:3opm- 6:00pm. I had a great nap.....hahahha.

So now here I am, it's Sunday. Tomorrow is Monday. Oh how I dread Monday's. I hope you all are doing well and looking forward to Halloweenie :)

Until then.....

1 year down...many more to go

I truly cannot believe that Brandon and I have been married for 1 year. We've been together for 4 years and that went by fast but our first married year ZOOMED by. There are so many things that I could say about our first year as a married couple but I really will spare you. Now don't get me wrong, don't think I am a bad wife for not saying how I feel about the past year, but to honest, I just don't feel like typing it all out. I know, I'm bad. My husband knows how I feel about him, us, and our little family ( dogs, not children). I love him more than words can express and I thank God every day for him.

For our anniversary, we decided to take a road trip to the Texas Hill Country. One word - BEAUTIFUL. We had an amazing time together, shopping, eating, riding in the car, listening and singing to country music for 3 days straight. We definitely shared A LOT of laughs together on this trip too. I love laughing with Brandon. I think it is my favorite thing to do with him.

So without futher adue, here are the many pictures we took on our trip.

Whoop! We finished up our Texas Hill Country Anniversary Trip by going to the beloved Texas Aggies Football game. If you have no expierence a home game at Kyle Field, YOU NEED TO GO. Even if you are not an Aggie fan or if you could care less about what team wins, you need to go. The tradition at A&M is unbelievable, and I am ALL ABOUT tradition. ACU really never had tradition....well they did, but nothing like A&M. I wish so badly that Brandon went to A&M for college. He has been a fan since age 2-3. He has been going to games since that young age. He knows every song, every cheer, every players name - past and present. He loves it there. Mark my words, Brandon will go there someday..... :)

He was truly in heaven.

Gruene Hall = amazing! The history in that dance hall is awesome! If you have not gone, GO. Love Love Love it! This was Brandon's first time to go and he was amazed.

We came across this cross on a mountain. We stopped. Parked the car. Trekked up the mountain. Took pictures. It was beautiful.

Everybody is somebody in Luckenbach, Texas. Such a cute little town. We could barely find the place, but alas, we did.

The famous post office. It's pretty much the only thing in town.

On our way to Fredricksburg, Texas - we saw this HUGE tree. I had to take a picture of it. It's amazingly big and amazingly pretty. Nothing says Hill Country more than this tree.

Other than my trusty i-phone, Brandon was our little navigator for the trip. He solely read this map everyday to get us from point a to point b. He's sooo good!

Here we are. Right before we left on our trip. I had to get a picture of us together. Because as you know, when you go on a trip with just 2 people ( including yourself), its rather hard to get a picture of you together rather than a solo pic infront of your favorite place. Love the self-timer.

One last picture before our trip ended.

I love you Brandon!

its the nerd in me

Actually, I am quite proud to admit the following statement.......

I CANNOT FREAKING WAIT FOR THE NEW MOON MOVIE TO COME OUT NOV. 20.

Ok. so enough of the ALL CAPS thingy.... I'm seriously soooooo stinking excited, stoked ( never used that word before in my life) happy, gleeful ( in conjuction with the new show glee) estatic and, joyful about this movie. You see, I have some friends in my life that kept pushing me to read this stupid book called Twilight. I refused and refused. I hated reading. I kinda still do. And finally, I gave in ( yes, JD, Danni, Val and Kristen - I GAVE in). You guys won and boy am I glad you did.

If you have not read the Twilight Saga books....YOU.NEED.IT. Go to the store NOW! BUY.THEM.NOW! Yes, I sound PYSHCO and maybe I am, but this isn't about ME. Its about you, missing out on what could change your whole life ( not really, well maybe). So please, do me a favor, help me sleep a little better at night, read the books. When you start Twilight, you will never look back. I started the Twilight movement at my office. See? I am a movment maker, starter...whatever the heck you want to call it.

HSHGIGHDJGHDSIOG;HAP"ASKGHDSGJHDSIGHSDG --- that is me showing you in typing how EXCITED I AM FOR THIS MOVIE!

Ok, bye!

PS - if this post freaked you out....I will not apologize. So get over it. :)
